Dig. Craft. Kill. Repeat. How deep can you go?

Welcome to the Dig Craft Kill early playtest! This game centers on a satisfying core loop: mine valuable resources, craft powerful equipment, and test your creations against increasingly challenging enemies. I'm looking for your feedback to help refine and build upon this foundation.

⚠️ Please Note: This WebGL build is for quick access and may have some instability or visual quirks. For the best and most stable experience, playing in fullscreen is recommended.

For optimal performance and reliability, please download the Windows version below.

DIG: Uncover Your Materials

  • Descend into a multi-layered 3D mine. Each layer offers distinct resources and a chance to find hidden chests.
  • Your pickaxe's level dictates how deep you can dig. Upgrade it to unlock new resources
  • Need specific materials? Use gold earned from your expeditions to regenerate individual layers or the entire mine.

CRAFT: Forge & Enhance Your Gear

  • Bring your haul to the crafting area. Here, you'll find:
    • Crafting Station: Turn raw resources into essential equipment.
    • Infusion Station: Augment your crafted items with unique effects and stat boosts using special components found in the dungeon (e.g., an "Apple" infusion item might grant +20% Health).
  • Infusion items have rarities (Common to Legendary). Combine three of one rarity to create one of the next tier, unlocking more potent enhancements.
  • This playtest features over 40 craftable armor and weapon pieces, and 19 distinct infusion items whose effects can be upgraded all the way to Legendary!

KILL: Conquer the Dungeon

  • Put your crafted gear to the test in the dungeon. You'll face waves of enemies that grow in number and strength with each floor you clear.
  • New, tougher enemy types will be introduced as you progress.
  • Defeated foes drop gold and the valuable infusion items needed to further empower your equipment.
  • Every 10 floors, prepare for a formidable boss encounter. (This playtest currently features 20 floors.)

EARLY PLAYTEST: YOUR FEEDBACK IS VALUABLE

Dig Craft Kill is actively being developed, and your input during this playtest phase is incredibly important. I'm keen to hear your thoughts on:

  • The Core Gameplay Loop: How engaging do you find the dig, craft, kill cycle?
  • Progression & Pacing: Does advancing your pickaxe, gear, and dungeon floors feel well-paced and rewarding?
  • Combat Difficulty: Are the enemy encounters appropriately challenging?
  • Crafting & Infusion Systems: Are they intuitive to use? Are the infusion effects interesting and impactful?
  • Any other observations, suggestions, or issues you encounter.

I'll second the inventory system. Maybe an auto combine feature, maybe an auto dispose system (select which items you want to auto sell). I think both or either would be a huge quality of life improvement

That being said, this game was legit really fun!

The auto combine feature is a great idea, that I shamelessly stole. It's in the new version if you want to check it out. Thanks for the feedback and great idea.

Stop thief!

you can win easily if you raise your dodge to 80% then apply 2 eel skins.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll look into it, maybe cap dodge at 75% or something similar.

You need to be able to disable screen shaking.

Not the only one to mention it, will get it done. Thanks for the feedback!

Having only 40 inventory slots is annoying

Just added a build with the option to upgrade your inventory. Thanks for the feedback!

finished the playthrough and it's not bad at all. Theres a bug when infusing that if you add an item then try to remove it from the box, it moves at twice the cursor rate. other than that, quite a nice game.

Great catch I did not notice it, I think it should be fixed now with a few qol features. Thanks for the feedback!
